The terms keyword and keywords are tossed around a lot in the Internet marketing industry. The vast majority of keyword related articles focus on topics like keyword density, keyword software, SEO and keyword selection, keyword values and keyword searches. While I am not going to downplay the value of any or all of these topics (and I will discuss these topics as well), Internet marketers should realize that there’s a lot more to discuss in the keyword research industry. Keywords are extremely important for a variety of reasons which will be covered throughout this site.
Throughout this site you find creative and popular keyword research methods which may improve your Internet marketing campaign and/or PPC publisher sites. Please realize that the information found on this site may not relate to your site. The keyword industry and search engines are constantly changing, so make certain you perform keyword research on a regular basis to make sure your keyword lists and campaigns are up to date.
Definition of Keyword Research: The practice of identifying popular/valuable search terms which are used by search engine users use to locate items, information or services for which they are interested.
I left out a single term that is commonly used when defining ‘keyword research.’ Many keyword research definitions add the term ‘professional.’ The fact is, many of the best keyword researchers are users like you and me. I don’t consider my self a keyword professional. I would call myself more of a keyword enthusiast. I’m sure that many bloggers, website owners and Internet marketers are by no means professional keyword researchers. But this does not stop them from performing basic keyword research and adding SEO value to their sites/blogs. So, my definition leaves out the term professional, because I believe any advertiser, blogger or site owner can perform keyword research on their own.
Definition of Keyword Software: Software which provides information on possible keyword selection, keyword research, keyword density, keyword values and keyword popularity when a keyword or website URL is provided.
Keyword Research Software can be extremely valuable for advertisers as well as PPC publishers. Keyword research software can prove to be beneficial for a number of reasons. First, keyword research software can speed up the keyword research process. Secondly, keyword comparisons are much easier to perform and can provide far more detailed reports. Lastly, there are plenty of quality free keyword software tools available which makes it easy to perform basic keyword research and selection. Although, if you are looking for more keyword variety, detail and custom keyword reporting you may want to check into some inexpensive keyword research software.
